Travel

Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport

Carretera a Tepic Km 7.5, Área Militar de Vallarta, 48311 Puerto Vallarta, Jal., Mexico
322 221 1298

You'll fly into PVR airport and then schedule a ride to Sayulita. It's only about a 40 minute drive and we recommend using our driver (info below). You can also take the bus, or look up a transportation service.

Our Driver Ceviche

We have an amazing driver we use every time we go to Sayulita, his name is Ceviche. He or his family will pick you up and take you to the store, before heading into sayulita. This is our top recommendation for travel to and from the airport. You can text him on whats app +53 322 242 6531 and just tell him you're with Corey & Abby. If you have him pick you up in groups, it is more affordable. A round trip ride is about $240USD for a suburban (beer and tequila included in ride).

Airbnb

Picture of Airbnb

We highly recommend staying in an airbnb, that's what we've done every time we've been there. Staying anywhere inside the map photo above is super walkable, sayulita is a very small town. Some houses may be up on hills and we'd recommend renting a golf cart which you can do in town or from our driver.

Amor Boutique Hotel

Pescadores S/N, 63734 Sayulita, Nay., Mexico

We've never stayed here but it is the nicer of the hotels in town.

Don Bonito Hotel

Av. del Palmar 29, 63734 Sayulita, Nay., Mexico

We've also never stayed here but the attached cafe has amazing coffee and breakfast. Our favorite in town.

Things to Do

Sayulita is a small beach town 45 minutes from Puerto Vallarta, that has a wide range of activities to choose from. Here are some of our favorites:

• Horse back riding tours at Rancho Manuel (beach and jungle tour)

- There is a stand next to the river in town (cant miss it) that you can make reservations at. Its about a 2 hour trip and they can accommodate up to 3 riders at a time. Just google Rancho Manuel and you can make a reservation or I'd recommend just signing up when you get there a day in advance.

• Sea Turtle Release (Community Sea Turtle Program)

- This will most likely be going on while we're in town. They release turtles on the north side of the beach around sunset most days.

• Alley Cat Catamaran & Snorkel Trip

- this is a fun booze cruise to the marietta islands which is absolutely gorgeous. Please note this is a longer trip so you'd need to go on friday if you plan on arriving early.

• Surf Lessons

- There are a TON of local surf shops that offer lessons on Sayulitas main beach. It is the perfect spot to learn how to surf with small easy waves and sandy ocean floor.

• Jet Skis

- You can head down to Punta Mita (about a 15 minute car ride) and rent jetskis for an hour or two. Super fun, they let you go ride solo, definitely reccommend.

• Beach Massage

- There are a ton of little spots that offer massages right on the beach. They're cheap, they're relaxing, you should do it.

• RELAX

- Take some time to chill on the beach and drink a beer. The main beach in town gets crowded so we'd recommend going down to Playa de los muertos which is an easy walk to the south side of town. Or if you're feeling adventurous, and have a golf cart, you can go to Caracitos which is a beautiful beach that you'll likely have all to yourself.
